THE BRIEF
The rooms that serve the table.
In the same house, painted china cabinets with lattice glass doors are built into the paneled walls of the formal dining room, so the table sits inside the millwork rather than in front of it.
The butler’s pantry has quartzite counters under a leaded-glass window, and its dark-stained cabinets with reeded glass are topped in the same stone. In the bath, the vanity continues the painted inset cabinetry, with a marble top and brass fixtures.
